An engagement photoshoot in Merzouga desert- Morocco.

Keith and Cherry travelled from Hong Kong to the Merzouga Desert, Morocco, for their engagement photoshoot. They were eager to capture the essence of Moroccan culture, so we visited a store run by their travel agency to choose two traditional Moroccan outfits. This addition made the experience even more special for them.

The weather was a bit challenging for the sunset portion of the shoot—cloudy and windy—but it was still incredibly beautiful. The clouds created a dramatic sky, and the wind swept across the dunes, giving the scene a raw, untamed feel. Despite the weather, the colors of the sky as the sun set behind the clouds were stunning, casting a soft glow over the sand.

Later, for the night shoot, they opted to wear white outfits, which contrasted beautifully with the dark desert and the blanket of stars above. The stillness of the desert made the moment feel even more magical as I captured them under the stars. From the windy sunset to the serene night, it was an unforgettable experience—one that felt like something straight out of a dream.

The next day, we woke up very early for this sunrise shoot in the Merzouga desert, leaving the camp while it was still dark. The cold air surrounded us as we made our way across the dunes, but when the golden light from the rising sun began to fill the sky, it was all worth it. I captured them with the moon still hanging behind them, creating a stunning contrast before the sunrise. As the light grew warmer, they exchanged glances, taking in the breathtaking beauty of the desert.

It was such a peaceful, almost magical experience for them, and they knew it was a once-in-a-lifetime moment—unforgettable, framed perfectly by the moon and the sunrise.
